Two sports fans, Sophie and Harjit from Huddersfield feature in publicity for West Yorkshire’s ‘Find Out How You Really Are’ campaign. Just four years ago, Harjit 54, who has type 2 diabetes, suffered a sudden heart attack and is keen to help raise awareness and promote common risk factors that could help others to avoid a similar experience.
High blood pressure, irregular pulse or diabetes can increase your risk of having a stroke, heart attack or developing heart failure. You can lower your risk by getting your blood pressure and pulse checked regularly and knowing your diabetes risk.
